Our residential portfolio includes:
- New build houses,
- Refurbishments of traditionally built houses,
- Reinforced concrete basements,
- Timber framed houses,
- Houses with concrete floors,
- Bespoke steel, timber, stone and reinforced concrete staircases.
We have carried out approximately 1000 projects in the residential sector alone, including new build houses, alterations to mansion blocks, alterations to purpose built flats plus detached, semi detached & terraced houses.
We are also happy to assist with minor alterations.
We’re very familiar with structures built on clay, chalk, sand, ballast and structures built originally in poor ground including silt and peat. We keep our own records of local ground conditions as we are often asked to return and work on several houses in a street.
Retail
Over the years we’ve worked on the alteration and refurbishment of numerous retail premises in London, Surrey and Bath and we understand the logistical considerations. Our customers include Jolly’s of Bath, Pattiserie Valerie, West Cornwall Pasty Company, Proud Camden & Proud Cabaret.
Agricultural
We’ve carried out numerous pre-planning structural surveys of working barns in Surrey & Oxford.
We’ve also designed several barn conversions in Surrey and Oxfordshire. Some were changed to homes and some to holiday lets.
Education
We’ve worked on numerous schools in the public and private sector in Surrey and Hampshire.
Ecclesiastical
PSF have provided structural consultancy on the alterations of churches and the conversion of chapels in Hampshire and Kent.
Public
Building pathology investigations have been carried out for a range of public sector clients including Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth and UK Government Government buildings at Tilbury Docks.
